  • 1966 Graduated from Mira Loma High School in Sacramento, California
  • 1978-1980 Graduated from Sierra College in Rocklin, California, with chiropractic pre-requisites
  • 1980-1984 Graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. Awarded Doctor of Chiropractic degree
  • 1982-1984 Graduated from a two year program on the clinical uses of physical therapy equipment, procedures, and modalities

 

Post-graduate Education

  • 1984 Radiographic skeletal diagnosis — 100 hours
  • 1983-1984 Applied kinesiology — 100 hours
  • 1984-1985 Diagnosis and treatment of soft tissue injuries — one year program

Work Experience

  • Instructor of human anatomy and physiology. Lake Tahoe Community College
  • Private practice of chiropractic since 1984. During this time, I also owned and operated a multi-disciplinary clinic including a medical physician, a doctor of oriental medicine, a physical therapist, and a certified acupuncturist
  • Owner and operator of The Mind Spa, one of the first clinics to use light, sound, and electrical stimulation to the central nervous system to induce altered states of consciousness and neurotransmitter changes to be used for behavioral modification and pain reduction
  • Director of new product development for a large nutritional company specializing in over 32 spirulina-based and anti-oxidant formulas
  • Co-developer of Nikken’s Bio-Directed Nutri-Technology line of nutritional products. Educational speaker for Nikken, Inc., which involves traveling throughout North America and providing nutritional workshops for Nikken’s Wellness Consultants
  • Owner of Royal Nutriceuticals, a company that specializes in sourcing nutritional raw materials, formulations, and new product development. Presently researching extraction techniques of spirulina and dunaliella algae. Also developed various formulas and co-authored study protocols to evaluate the efficacy of cetyl myristoleate products to treat the various forms of arthritis
  • Co-owner / co-founder and Vice President of Research and Development for Natural Bridges Products, Inc. Focus is developing nutraceutically-based products that bridge the gap between health and lifestyle. Company was launched with First Call, a product that has been found to prevent hangovers after light to moderate alcohol consumption
  • Nutritional consultant for numerous nutritional suppliers and companies, including Natural Alternatives, Inc., Integris, LLC., Klabin Marketing, General Nutrition Corp., Nutraceuticals Corp., Nikken, Inc., Threshold Enterprises, Imagenetix, Inc., and Natrol, Inc.
  • Attended Air Traffic Control school and worked in Radar Approach Control and Ground Control Approach units. United States Air Force. Honorable discharge. 1966-1970

 

Awards

  • Nominated as a finalist in the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Prize for the year 2002 endowed by Pfizer. Nominations for the IOC Olympic prize are submitted for specific findings resulting from outstanding basic and/or applied research related to human movement, exercise, and/or sport. This research may be in the fields of medical, biological, physical, or psychological science, and must represent a significant innovation, contribute to the betterment of humankind and/or significantly impact science, health, and/or society.
